2020: Started the year in the exhibition spot on bars for the Huskies. Sat out two meets and then competed for the first time since being at NIU on bars and floor exercise. Finished the year competing six meets on bars and scoring a career-high 9.800 at the George Washington Quad meet. Recorded a score of 9.725 or higher in three of six meets. Stepped into the lineup on floor exercise due to injury and was in the lineup on floor in three meets. Posted a season-high score of 9.675 versus Illinois State with every mark above 9.625 on the year. Earned Academic All-MAC recognition. Named a WCGA Scholastic All-American.

2019: Continued her comeback from injury Competed five times as an exhibition gymnast on uneven parallel bars. Top score was a 9.750 at UIC (2-24). Scored a 9.675 at the NIU Quad Meet (2-1).

2018: Did not compete due to injury.

2017: Competed as an exhibitionist against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 17).

Prep: Trained at New Image Gymnastics Academy in Edgewood, N.Y.…competed as a level 10 gymnast for senior season and was a three-time varsity letterwinner…All-County individual selection during 2012, 2014 and 2015 seasons…Helped earn team county championship and Top Team in Long Island as a senior…All-State selection as a junior and senior and was the state bars champion during her senior season…Aided team in becoming state champions during junior season and taking second place at state during senior season.

Personal: Born August 12, 1998 in Long Island, N.Y. Daughter of Karl and Nancy Gomes. She is a triplet. Brothers, Christopher and Michael, play lacrosse at New York Institute of Technology and SUNY Maritime. Majoring in finance.
