Luke Aspinall-Stanton joins the NIU women’s soccer staff as an assistant coach in 2025. Aspinall-Stanton has spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the men’s team at Benedictine University.
During his time at Benedictine, Aspinall-Stanton helped mentor three All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) honorees and four NACC Players of the Week. Aspinall-Stanton then accepted the head coaching position at Rockford University early in 2025 prior to joining NIU.
A native of Nottingham, England, Aspinall-Stanton also worked with the Evolution Soccer Club in Naperville, Ill., beginning in 2023, starting as a club coach before being promoted to the Director of College Recruitment in the summer of 2024.
Prior to moving to Chicagoland, Aspinall-Stanton was an assistant at his alma mater, Louisiana State University at Alexandria, working with both the men’s and women’s soccer teams. Aspinall-Stanton also served a brief stint as the interim head coach for the LSUA women’s team. He also worked with Cajun Rush Alexandria as Director of Goalkeeping and worked as a volunteer coach at Louisiana Christian University.
Aspinall-Stanton earned his degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University at Alexandria in 2022.
