Marcia Tere-Apisah joined the NIU women’s tennis program as its graduate assistant in August of 2018. Tere-Apisah comes to NIU after serving as the assistant coach of the Cranbrook High School tennis team in Bloomfield, Mich.
A native of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, is a graduate of Illinois State University where she was a member of the Redbird women’s tennis team for two years. She was named to the Missouri Valley All-Select team in 2016 & 2017. In 2016, Tere-Apisah led the team in singles wins with 25, finishing the season with a 25-6 mark. Playing at the No. 1 singles spot in 2017, she posted a 19-10 overall record and a team-best 8-2 mark in tournament play and 6-1 record in MVC competition.
