Cross Country: Earned Academic All-MAC honors … Helped NIU to first-place team finishes at the WIU Early Bird Invitational and the NIU Huskie Challenge … Ran a 6K season-best time of 24:08.5 at the Bradley Pink Classic (Oct. 18) … Ran a 5K season-best time of 20:14.50 at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational Gold Race (Sept. 28) … Finished 17th at the WIU Early Bird Invitational (Aug. 30) with a 4K time of 15:35.3.
Indoor: Earned Academic All-MAC honors … Ran a season-best time of 5:22.99 in the mile at the Bill Clinger Classic (Jan. 17) … Recorded top-10 finishes in the mile at both the Hawkeye Invitational (Jan. 11) and the Parkside Classic (Feb. 8).
2018-19
Cross Country: Earned Academic All-MAC honors … Finished fifth in the Bradley Pink Classic White Race (Oct. 12) with a time of 23:06.7 … Earned 18th in the 4K NIU Huskie Challenge (Aug. 31) with a time of 17:17.7 … Had a season-best 6K time of 19:38.1 at the Illini Open (Oct. 19), finishing 34th.
Indoor: Earned Academic All-MAC honors … Ran a season-best time of 5:28.82 in the mile at the GVSU Big Meet (Feb. 8) … Finished 11th in the mile at the EIU Friday Night Special (Feb. 15) with a time of 5:32.09.
Outdoor: Ran a season-best time of 5:01.93 in the 1,500 meters at the NIU Huskie Classic (May 3) … Finished 10th in the 1,500 meters at the Musco Twilight (April 13) with a time of 5:11.92.
2017-18
Cross Country: Competed in three meets as a freshman for the Huskies. Recorded best finish at the Illini Open (Oct. 20) as she came in 37th, but saw her fastest 5k at the Country Financial Invitational (Sept. 8) in 19:50.1 and fastest 4k at UIC Flames/Flyer Opener in 16:10.90.
Indoor: Ran in four competitions between the 800-meter run and mile run…Finished third at the Orange & Blue Open (Feb. 17) with a time of 2:25.91…Finished fastest mile at the GVSU Big Meet (Feb. 9) in 5:18.93.
Outdoor: Ran in four meet for the Huskies as a freshman…Recorded best 1,500-meter time at the Michael Johnson Invitational (April 21), finishing in 4:58.86…Cavanaugh also competed in the 800-meter run, once, where she finished in 2:30.23.
High School: Four-time letterwinner…Team placed second in the conference during her junior and senior seasons and third during freshman and sophomore seasons...During track season, competed as a middle distance runner running the 800m, 1600m and 3200m during the indoor season and the 800m and 1600m for outdoor season…Ran her personal best cross country 5k in 19:52.30.
Personal: Born Aug. 23, 1998 in Wheaton, Ill….Daughter of Bob and Meg Cavanaugh…Majoring in nutrition, dietetics and wellness.
