Ty Prazma enters his third season as an assistant at NIU in the 2018-19 campaign.
While at VMI, Prazma played a key roll in coaching freshman Neal Richards to the NCAA tournament and training junior Dalton Henderson to the All-Academy Championship title. At last year's SoCon Championships, with the assistance of Prazma, the Keydets more than doubled their point total from the previous year.
Prior to VMI, Prazma was a standout wrestler at the University of Missouri, where he wrestled at the 165-pound weight class and collected 83 career wins. Prazma finished in sixth place at the 2014 Midlands Championships and earned his varsity letterman status his last two seasons. Â
In the classroom, Prazma was named to the Big 12 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll (2010-12), the dean's list, and to the Academic All-MAC Team (2014-15). He was also given a MAC Presidential Award for accumulating at least a 3.5 GPA in graduate coursework and was one of 28 student-athletes at Missouri named to the Three Stripes Club in recognition for high performance in academics, athletics, and society.
