2024-25: Took third at the Cougar Clash….Three-way tie to lead the team with three technical fall victories….Posted a record of 12-6 this season for his second straight year of double-digit wins….Claimed three major decision victories…..Posted a 7-1 dual record….Went 5-1 in MAC duals…..Had two wins via fall….Claimed victories over wrestlers from Minnesota, Missouri, Cal Poly, Illinois, and Purdue….Had a five-match win-streak during January and February  

2023-24: Named MAC West Wrestler of the Week on Feb. 27….went 13-4 on the season….was 8-1 in duals and 7-1 in MAC action….had two wins by fall and two wins by major decision….have one win by technical fall….Started 9 of the Huskie duals at 141 pounds….had a 5-match win streak between Jan. 5 and Feb. 3….NWCA Scholar All-American....Academic All-MAC

2022-23: Finished his first season as a Huskie with an overall record of 8-2 at 141... Recorded his first victory by tech fall against Aidan Waszak (Ohio) at the MSU Open… Earned two MAC dual starts going 2-0... Recorded three falls, including a 1:39 pin against Korbin Shepherd (Missouri) at the Cougar Clash.

High School: Brya (pronounced Bry) logged an overall record of 143-2 while wresting at St. Johns High School in St. Johns, Mich. ... The Brya’s have a strong history of wrestling in their family - his father and grandfather wrestled at St. Johns before mentoring Jacob in his youth .... won his third state championship in March of 2022 at Ford Field in Detroit ... took home the Division II championship at 140 pounds after winning a 1-0 decision over Carsen Richards (Goodrich) ... Previously, he won state championships at 103 pounds as a freshman and 112 as a sophomore in 2020.
