Biography

2019-20: Amassed a career-high 21-12 overall record, while tallying a career-best four MAC wins on the season wrestling at 149…Placed seventh at the 2020 MAC Championships after going 3-2 at the event and earning an 11-2 maj. dec. win over Lock Haven’s Brock Port…Recorded four separate three-match winning streaks throughout the year…A 5-3 victory over Corbyn Munson of Central Michigan (Jan. 5) was key in the Huskies' first victory over the Chippewas since 2003.

2018-19: Finished season with a 16-9 overall record… Ended season with an 11-5 record in duals… Recorded major decisions wins against Kade Kowalski (Ohio), 10-2 and Kody Komara (Kent State), 11-2 and a fall win against Jason Estevez… Placed fourth at Michigan State Open and fifth at MAC Championships…Ended season with five wins against conference opponents.

2017-18: Finished the season 6-6 … Competed in three open tournaments at 141-pounds … Went 2-2 on the way to a fourth-place finish at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open, unattached (Nov. 4) … Scored three major decision victories and two pin fall victories. 

2016-17: Posted a 2-2 record while competing unattached at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/5)…Both wins were won in major decision fashion.

2015-16: Led all NIU redshirts in wins during his successful 22-8 season wrestling unattached at 141 and 149 pounds…Placed at all five of his open tournaments…Won six matches at the Eastern Michigan Open (11/7) in his collegiate debut)…Took four victories from the Michigan State Open (11/15)…Earned six more wins at the Lindenwood Open (11/21)…Advanced to the final of the Flash Flanagan Open (1/9)…Finished the season with four wins at the Duhawk Open (1/30) wrestling at 149 for the first time…Finished with seven majors and two tech falls in his favor.

High School: Four-time all-conference and three-time all-area honoree at Enochs High School...Posted a 219-19 record in four seasons with the Eagles...Three-time conference champion and state qualifier at EHS...Holds the school record for most takedowns and most wins...Ended his senior season with a 52-2 record...Finished as a runner-up in the 2015 California state tournament...Ranked 12th nationally in the InterMat high school rankings...Placed third at 138 pounds in the 2014 state tournament, earning second team all-state honors and becoming Enochs' first-ever state placer in the process...Claimed the conference title as a junior after finishing with a 59-6 mark on the year...Became the school's first-ever state qualifier as a sophomore, finishing with a 54-5 record and winning the conference crown at 138...Collected all-conference and all-area honors in 2012-13...Advanced to the final 12 at the 2013 and 2014 Flo Nationals...Also a member of EHS' football team, where he earned all-conference recognition in 2013 and 2014.
