Tori Grifone enters her first season with the Huskies in 2027.
Grifone comes to NIU from Providence College, where she has served as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Department since 2024. In her role, she has supported department operations through team travel coordination, scheduling, expense reporting and student-athlete programming, while serving as a liaison among student-athletes, coaches, campus partners and NCAA offices.
A former standout pitcher for Providence (2021-26), Grifone finished her career among the Friars’ top three all-time in strikeouts with 450. She earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors in 2025 after leading the team in wins, innings pitched and strikeouts, and earned multiple BIG EAST weekly honors throughout her career.
Prior to Providence, Grifone worked with Frozen Ropes NY in Player Development and Facility Operations, where she coached softball players ages 8-14 and provided individualized pitching and hitting instruction. She also assisted with youth camps and daily facility operations.
Grifone graduated from Providence with a bachelor’s degree in Health, Policy and Management (2024) and a master’s degree in Business Administration and certificate in Sports Management (2026).
