NORTHERN ILLINOIS GAME NOTES NIU at Miami October 8, 2006 Oxford, Ohio

*** Northern Illinois' Garrett Wolfe scored the 46th rushing touchdown of his career, and his 51st career TD, in the first quarter. Wolfe has scored in 11 consecutive games, a mark which leads the nation.

***NIU sophomore tight end David Koronkiewicz recorded his first catch of the 2006 season and equaled his career receiving total (3 catches) entering the season. The sophomore caught three passes a year ago.

***Kicker Chris Nendick extended his school record consecutive game scoring streak to 30 games. The junior has also hit at least one field goal in every Northern Illinois game this season and in seven consecutive games overall. Nendick has 10 field goals on the year and 35 for his career.

***Northern Illinois recorded its first interception of the 2006 season when freshman Corey Hanson picked off his first career pass in the second quarter.

***Garrett Wolfe posted his 11th consecutive 100-yard rushing game as well as the 20th of his career (in 26 games). In each of those 11 games, Wolfe has surpassed the 150-yard mark.

***Wide receiver Matt Simon had a career-long 37-yard reception in the third quarter.
