The Northern Illinois baseball program has announced that its open tryout will take place on Thursday, September 7 from 2-5:30 p.m. at Ralph McKinzie Field. This will be the only tryout opportunity for the 2006-07 academic year. The rain date for tryouts is set from Friday, September 8 from 2-5:30 p.m.

To be eligible, all prospective attendees are required to pick up pre-registration materials from the baseball office, located in the Convocation Center Room #224. All forms, including an athletic physical (current within 90 days of tryout), waiver, and tryout clearance form must be completed in order to be eligible to tryout. All completed registration forms must be turned in to the baseball office by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5 in order to be able to participate in the tryout.

Individuals must adhere to all of the above procedures and timelines to be eligible to tryout. There are no exceptions.

Players trying out must supply their own equipment and dress accordingly. NIU will supply helmets, catcher gear, bats and baseballs.
