DeKALB, Ill. - Game times for Northern Illinois' season-opening series at Texas Tech have been adjusted and times for the Huskies' contests at the Palm Beach Challenge are now set.

NIU's 2007 season opener at Texas Tech on Friday, Feb. 23 remains a 3 p.m. start, but the other two games in the series have now been changed. Saturday's start time has been pushed back to a 3 p.m. start while Sunday's contest has been moved up one hour for a noon first pitch.

The Huskies will spend their spring break week at the Palm Beach Challenge, playing seven games in Florida against schools from the northeast. First up is a March 10 tilt with Maine at 2:15 p.m. followed by a 3:15 p.m. March 11 contest against Long Island University. After a day off, NIU resumes with a 3 p.m. match-up against New Jersey Tech on March 13.

After stepping out of the Palm Beach Challenge for a single game at Florida Atlantic on March 14, NIU faces a pair of games on March 15 beginning with an 11 a.m. rematch against New Jersey Tech followed by a 3 p.m. contest against Fordham. The Huskies will play a second consecutive game against Fordham on March 16 in a 3:30 p.m. start. NIU wraps up the Palm Beach Challenge on St. Patrick's Day, March 17 with a morning contest against Manhattan starting at 9 a.m.
