Buffalo, New York - The Huskies Men's tennis team was edged by BU with a final score of 4-3 on Friday afternoon. NIU's record now stands at 7-9 overall and 0-2 in the MAC.

Buffalo, New York - The Huskies Men's tennis team was edged by BU with a final score of 4-3 on Friday afternoon. NIU's record now stands at 7-9 overall and 0-2 in the MAC.

The NIU men's tennis team started strong by winning two of the three doubles matches to take the doubles point. After losing the No. 1 doubles match, the pairings of Friesen/Chu and Monroy/Zegarra-Ballon picked up wins to give the Huskies a 1-0 advantage over the Bulls.

In singles action NIU Sophomore Brian Livingston (Skokie, IL) took down UB's no. 1 player in Mike Rockman by a score of 6-3, 6-4. After junior Alex Friesen (Vancouver British Columbia) went down in three sets in the No. 2 singles match, junior Adam Ford (Grand Rapids, MI) picked up the third point of the day for the Huskies with a win over Kirill Kolomytes by a score of 7-5, 6-0.

Ford's point would be the end of the scoring for the Huskies as the No. 4, 5, and 6 singles competitors were unable pick up wins for the NIU men's tennis team leading to the final score of 4-3 in favor of Buffalo.

The Huskies return to action on Sunday, April 15 to take on MAC foe Toledo in Toledo, Ohio at 1:00 pm.
