KENT, Ohio - Game two of the series between Northern Illinois and Kent State was suspended after one inning of play because of continuous snow and poor visibility. The Huskies led 4-1 when the game was halted and the contest will be picked up at the beginning of the second inning Sunday at 11 a.m. CDT. Weather permitting, game three of the series will follow the conclusion of game two.
Bobby Stevens' RBI single got NIU on the scoreboard before Scott Simon delivered a RBI on a fielder's choice. Jordin Hood then delivered a two-run triple that put the Huskies ahead 4-0.
Kent State's Doug Sanders hit a solo home run in the bottom half of the inning to make it a 4-1 game.
