NIU Football Single Game Tickets Now On Sale

Mini-Plans and Season Tickets Continue to Provide Best Value

DeKALB, Ill. – Single game tickets for all five home games of the 2018 Northern Illinois University football season are now on sale.

The Huskies' 2018 home schedule features four opponents that played in bowl games a year ago, including the first visit to Huskie Stadium by a team from the Pac 12 Conference, the 112th Homecoming game, Family Weekend, a #MACtion rivalry game and the first game in the Mallory Cup series.

On Tuesday, the Huskies were tabbed as the favorites to win the Mid-American Conference West Division by league media at the annual MAC Media Day in Detroit.

NIU, which posted an 8-5 record a year ago and made its ninth bowl appearance in the last 10 seasons, returns 17 starters, led on defense by 2017 consensus All-American Sutton Smith, and on offense by second-team Academic All-American and 39-game starter at left tackle Max Scharping, and 2017 MAC Freshman of the Year, quarterback Marcus Childers.

Purchase tickets to any of the five home games online 24 hours a day, seven days a week at NIUHuskies.com (https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/northernillinois/EN/buy/browse), by calling 815-753-PACK (7225) Monday through Friday during normal business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m.) or in person at the NIU Athletics Ticket Office in the Convocation Center.

NIU's 2018 home schedule features the first appearance by a Pac 12 Conference team in Huskie Stadium when Utah visits on Saturday, Sept. 8, a Family Weekend match-up versus Central Michigan in the MAC opener on Saturday, September 15, and the 112th Homecoming game versus Ohio on Saturday, October 13. On Wednesday, November 7, the Toledo Rockets visit Huskie Stadium in an ESPN television match-up, while the home schedule concludes on Wednesday, November 14 when NIU and Miami (Ohio) honor the late Bill Mallory with the first "Mallory Cup" game.

Ticket prices vary depending on the game and seat location and begin at $15 (East Side general admission) or $20 (West Side reserved) for the Toledo and Miami weeknight #MACtion games.  Single game tickets for the Utah contest are prices at $35 and $40, while the Central Michigan and Ohio game prices are $25 and $30, depending on location. Discounted group pricing is available for groups as small as 15 people by calling 815-753-PACK (7225).

For greater value, and the guaranteed same seat location on the West Side, NIU offers the Mini-Plan, which allows fans to choose two Saturday and one #MACtion game for just $70.

Season tickets remain the best value, and the best way to support Huskie Football, with prices starting at just $55 for all five home games via the Huskie Family Pack (minimum of four tickets), or $60 for a general admission season ticket on the East Side.
