Devin Haney recorded his first career interception to set up the Huskies' first score. It was the Huskies' first INT since the Ball State game on October 5th and the third interception of the season for NIU.
***All four of the Huskies interceptions this season have come at home.

Tre Harbison scored multiple rushing touchdowns in a game for the third time this season with touchdown runs of 5 and 30 yards. Â
***On the season, Harbison has scored seven touchdowns on the season, already surpassing his season total of five scores from a year ago.

Brett Bostad scored his first career touchdown on his first career catch, a five-yard reception from
Marcus Childers in the second quarter. Â

Tre Harbison recorded his third 100-yard rushing game of the season and eighth of his career as he carried a season-high 31 times for 158 yards on the day. Â
***Harbison became the 19th Huskie to record 2,000 rushing yards in his career. His career total now stands at 2,048 rushing yards to put him 18th on the Huskies' all-time list, 48 yards behind Cameron Stingily.
***As a team, NIU ran for a season high 274 rushing yards on 62 carries. Â
***NIU scored its most points since a 63-17 win over Ball State on November 9, 2017

Mitchell Brinkman caught his second touchdown pass of the season and fourth of his career on an 18-yard reception in the third quarter.Â
Corey Lersch caught his first touchdown pass of the season and third of his career with a three-yard reception.
***Huskie defenders scored a pair of touchdowns with a fumble recovery in the end zone by senior
Trayshon Foster and a 31-yard interception return by freshman
Nick Rattin. Both players scored for the first time in their NIU careers.

Marcus Childers' three touchdown passes went to tight ends (
Mitchell Brinkman and
Corey Lersch) and fullback (
Brett Bostad). Â
***NIU held Akron to just 145 yards of total offense, the fewest by a Huskie opponents since Kent State gained just 131 yards on Oct. 7, 2017.
***Akron is the third Huskie opponent this season to gain less than 100 yards rushing as the Zips gained just 94 yards on 25 carries.
