DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University wrestling team looks to continue its momentum this Sunday (Dec. 4) when the team competes in the Cougar Clash hosted by SIUE in Edwardsville, Ill.
In the open, NIU's (3-2, 1-0 MAC) grapplers will face off against wrestlers from Northern Colorado (4-1, 0-1 Big 12), Little Rock (2-3), Missouri (1-1), Lindenwood (1-2) and Oklahoma State (3-0, 1-0 Big 12). Bouts will commence at 10 a.m. inside the First Community Arena.
The Huskies return to the mat after a strong performance at the Boilermaker Duals on Nov. 20. NIU earned its first MAC win of the season with a 33-13 triumph over Cleveland State. Graduate student

Izzak Olejnik led the way as each went 3-0 on the day; the pair racked up three pins and two major decision wins to pace the Huskies.
