DeKALB, IL – The Northern Illinois University baseball team's series opener against the Eastern Michigan Eagles at Ralph McKinzie Field on Ralph McKinzie Field was postponed Friday due to rain.
 
The two teams will make up Friday's game as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, May 8. Game one of Sunday's twinbill will have a first pitch of 11 a.m. Between games Sunday, NIU Athletics will hold a Spring Sport Commencement for student-athletes that will not be able to attend next weekend's ceremonies due to competitions.
 
NIU and Eastern Michigan will play a doubleheader on Saturday, May 7 beginning with a seven-inning game at 12 p.m. followed by a nine-inning game.
