Under the direction of head coach
Rashon Burno, the Huskies men's basketball team returns a talented roster featuring All-MAC guards
David Coit and
Keshawn Williams. Coit averaged 16.9 points per game in conference play a season ago and was an All-District Second Team honoree. Last season, the Huskies scored the sixth-most points in a single-season in program history and had the second-most three-point field goals in school history.
NIU women's basketball returns four starters from last season's team that was top-five in the MAC in scoring offense, three-pointers per game and three-point field goal percentage. The Huskies have made over 200 threes in each of the last seven seasons, and will bring that same fast-paced, offensive style to the court again this year. NIU was 9-4 at the Convocation Center last season with wins over DePaul and the reigning MAC champions Toledo.
