DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis head coach René Vidal has announced the signing of Pratyaksh to join the Huskies beginning in January 2025.
 
Pratyaksh, who hails from Delhi, India, currently competes for the Piatti Tennis Center in Bordighera, Italy. Pratyaksh has reached a career-high ranking of 489 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior rankings and was a U18 and U14 National Doubles Champion in India.
 
Achieving success in both singles and doubles, Pratyaksh won the 2024 ITF J30 singles event in Telavi, Georgia, and is a two-time J30 singles runner-up. He has also won three ITF J30 doubles tournaments, including two in 2024.
 
Pratyaksh marks the final signing of Vidal's first class at NIU.
 
The Huskies will begin the dual match portion of their season on Friday, January 17 at Purdue.
