Cleveland, Ohio. – Northern Illinois University gymnasts Kiera O'Shea and Alyssa Al-Ashari have been named to the Mid-American Conference All-Tournament Team, as released by the MAC Sunday.

O'Shea won the MAC title on vault at Saturday's championship meet as she tied an all-time team record with a score of 9.925. She shared the top honor with Kent State's Nastia Rudnitskaya. The last NIU gymnast to earn a score of 9.925 on vault for NIU was Kelly Kramer, who hit the mark in the 2004 MAC Championship meet.

Al-Ashari joined three other gymnasts in scoring a 9.900 on balance beam Saturday to tie for first place. She became the Huskies' first individual MAC Champion on beam since 2019.

Both Al-Ashari and O'Shea received MAC honors for the third time this week. Both were named to the All-MAC Second Team on Tuesday, before taking home MAC Championship medals on Saturday.
