MANHEIM, PA—The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Team Scholar All-America Top-30 rankings on Monday, April 8. Northern Illinois University was among the top 30 teams ranked in the national release.
 
The Huskies ranked fifth in the nation for team GPAs on the list, recording a 3.5374 GPA. The Huskies were one of five Mid-American Conference (MAC) schools represented on the list and the second highest.
 
Harvard led the national academically, holding a 3.6134 GPA. Fellow MAC school, Cleveland State, was second in the nation (3.5706) followed by Drexel (3.5456) to round out the top-3.
 
Mike Moyer, Executive Director of NWCA, praised the achievements of these student-athletes, stating, "We are immensely proud to recognize the exceptional commitment demonstrated by these athletes, who showcase remarkable dedication both on and off the wrestling mat. Our heartfelt congratulations extend to all the teams for their outstanding accomplishments."
 
Seven Huskies earned individual academic recognition from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) as announced on Friday, March 29, 2024.
