CLEVELAND – Eight members of the Northern Illinois University women's soccer team have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, announced by the league office on Wednesday (Dec. 3). 

Aubrey Robertson (Fishers, Ind./Fishers), a nutrition sciences major with a 3.56 grade point average, is a three-time Academic All-MAC honoree, having garnered the recognition in both 2023 and 2024 prior to this season. 

Sarah Roy (Saint-Julie, Quebec/College de Montreal), Jordyn Saddler (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Robbinsdale Cooper) and Isabel Struble (Mount Pleasant, Mich./Mount Pleasant) are each two-time Academic All-MAC recipients, previously receiving the award in 2024. Roy is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.91 GPA, Saddler is working on her master's degree in marriage and family therapy, she has a 3.99 GPA, while Struble has a 3.90 GPA, majoring in psychology. 

The Huskies also have four first-time Academic All-MAC honorees as Kelsi McLaughlin (Greenfield, Ind./Greenfield Central) holds a 3.71 GPA in business administration, Lauren Mrugala (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) has a 4.0 GPA majoring in communicative disorders, Lauren Pearson (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) is a mathematics education major with a 3.81 GPA and Alyssa Stephenson (Oakville, Ontario/St. Ignatius of Loyola) majors in business administration with a 3.97 GPA. 

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
