Women's Basketball | December 8

DeKALB, IL – Northern Illinois University Athletics announced on Monday that the women's basketball team will host Education Day on Wednesday, Jan. 28 for its 11 a.m. game against Miami. It will also hold National Girls And Women In Sports Day on Feb. 7 for the second round of the MAC-SBC Challenge.
 
Schools can register for this season's Education Day game at https://niuhuskies.com/WBB26EducationDay. The day is available to all elementary and middle school classes. Registration is open through Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026. 
 
NIU will host a pregame youth clinic in conjunction with the National Girls And Women In Sports Day game on Saturday, Feb. 7. Participants at the clinic, open to children ages 6-12, will interact and play with student-athletes from the Huskie women's sports programs, cheerleaders and dance team at different stations in Victor E. Court prior to the 1 p.m. game. Registration for the youth clinic is open at https://niuhuskies.com/NGWSD26Clinic until Friday, Jan. 23, 2026.
