DEKALB, Ill. -- Northern Illinois University women's soccer head coach
Michael O'Neill has announced the signings of Morgan Lucich and Zoe Mclauchlan to join the Huskie women's soccer program for the 2025 season.
Lucich, a goalkeeper, has been a member of the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos squad for the last three seasons. Lucich made her collegiate debut against Hawaii on Oct. 27, 2024, and saved the lone shot she faced.
Originally from Laguna Hills, Calif., Luich attended Trabuco Hills High School. At Trabuco Hills, Luich was named first team all-league twice, 2020 and 2022, and second team all-league in 2021.
"We are really excited to add Morgan to our roster this Fall," O'Neill said. "She will bring great experience to an already very strong goalkeeper union."
Luich has been named to the honor roll in three semesters at UCSB and intends to major in athletic training.
Mclauchlan currently plays as a midfielder for Ottawa South United in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She is currently the captain for her club and Ontario Provincial teams. McLauchlan won player of the year for her club in 2023.
"We were thrilled to get Zoe's commitment over the line," O'Neill said. "She is a two-way player that will bring great energy and quality to our midfield options."
McLauchlan intends to major in communication studies.
