Men's Tennis | February 8
South Bend, Ind. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team fell on the road by a score of 7-0 to Notre Dame on Saturday.
The Huskies picked up three games in all three doubles matches. At No. 1 doubles the pairing of
Iker Gaztambide Arrastia (Pamplona, Spain) and
Federico Scotuzzi (Bergamo, Italy) trailed just 4-3 when the match was ended.
Arrastia fought hard at No. 1 singles and won three games in set one and four in set two before falling to the ITA's 33
rd ranked Sebastian Dominko.
Saul Berdullas (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and
Iker Dellien Velasco (Trinidad, Bolivia) both won four games in the first set of their matches at No. 2 and No. 4 singles.
The Huskies will return to action at 9 a.m. tomorrow as the Huskies face William & Mary.
