Buffalo, N.Y. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team earned wins at No. 1 singles and No. 2 singles as the Huskies fell to Buffalo 5-2 on Thursday afternoon.
The Huskies co-captains
Iker Gaztambide Arrastia (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and
Saul Berdullas (Pamplona, Spain) both earned singles wins in the match to highlight the Huskies.
Arrastia won in come from behind at No. 1 singles fashion after dropping the first set. Arrastia took the victory 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8).
Berdullas won a close first set 7-6 (7-5) and then dropped the second set 4-6. Berdullas closed out the win over Cheng Tang in the tiebreak 10-2.
The Huskies will return to action at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 22 as the Huskiescontinue their road trip against Toledo.
