DeKalb, Ill. – Saul Berdullas led the way for the Huskies with a dominant win at No. 2 singles as the Huskies dropped their match to Buffalo 6-1 inside the Nelson Tennis Center on Thursday.

Iker Gaztambide Arrastia (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and Federico Scotuzzi played well at No. 1 doubles and led 6-5 before the match was suspended. Iker Dellien Velasco (Trinidad, Bolivia) and Saul Berdullas (Pamplona, Spain) played competitively at No. 2 doubles before dropping their match 6-4.

In singles play Berdullas controlled his match from start to finish against Cheng Tang at No. 2 singles. Berdullas took the match 6-2, 6-2.

At No. 5 singles Pratyaksh LNU (Delhi, India) took the first set before falling in a three-set tiebreak 3-6, 7-6 (7-1), 10-8.

At No. 6 singles Dellien Velasco played competitively in both sets but fell in a very close match 7-6 (7-3), 7-5.

The Huskies will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday for their home finale as they play host to Toledo.
