CLEVELAND—Matching the school record for most Academic All-MAC honorees, the Northern Illinois University softball team saw 13 members receive honors from the Mid-American Conference as announced on Wednesday (May 28).
The Huskies led the conference with 13 honorees as they matched the school record set in 2022. This is the fourth time in the last five seasons that the Huskies have had 11 or more honorees.
In total, the MAC honored 96 student-athletes for their academic achievements.

Trinity Jones Estrada,
Madison Mathews,
Brianna Pechman, and
Danielle Stewart all repeat as second-time honorees after earning the recognition in 2024.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
