DeKALB, Ill. – Junior Craig Long (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) of the Northern Illinois University men's golf team was named the Mid-American Conference Co-Golfer of the Week on Friday after his win at the Badger Invitational on Tuesday.
 
Long posted a career-low score of 11-under par 205 at TPC Wisconsin. He played his final 27 holes bogey free with nine birdies and an eagle. He capped his tournament with a seven-under par 65, one stroke shy of tying the NIU single-round scoring record. Long is the first Huskie to win an individual title since 2023 and the third to win a tournament in the last five years.
 
Since 2020 NIU has had eight different golfers earn a MAC Golfer of the Week award.
