Men's Tennis | February 7
DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team defeated Roosevelt 6-1 at home on Saturday afternoon.
The Huskies move to 3-1 and close out their opening homestand next weekend with three matches.
NIU quickly grabbed the doubles point over the Lakers with wins on the top two courts.

In singles, Gaztambide Arrastia (Pamplona, Spain/Jesuitas) and
Nikola Puntaric (Ljubljana, Slovenia/Tulsa) remaining undefeated. Gaztambide Arrastia defeated Juan Caicedo 6-0, 6-1 while Puntaric put away Jules Rumeau 6-0, 6-0.
Iker Dellien Velasco (Trinidad, Bolivia/UAB) recorded his first win of the dual season with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4.
NIU will host three matches next weekend, beginning with Southern on Friday, Feb. 13 and then a doubleheader against Omaha and Wisconsin-Whitewater on Sunday, Feb. 15.
