DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team takes on UIC and Judson University for a Saturday doubleheader, with the conference match against UIC slated for 11 a.m. and the Judson match scheduled for 5 p.m.
The Huskies (13-5, 4-1 MAC) are coming off a 2-0 weekend at home in Mid-American Conference play. On Thursday, NIU defeated the defending MAC champions Buffalo in a thrilling match that ended with a final score of 4-3.
Federico Scotuzzi (Bergamo, Italy / North Alabama) came in clutch for the Huskies, winning his fourth consecutive match.
The Huskies followed that up with a 5-2 win over Toledo on Saturday. In doubles,

Chiao Bo Suo Nan clinched a 7-6 (9-7) win at No. 2 to clinch the point. The duo were named the MAC Doubles Team of the week by the conference this week.
NIU sits at first place in the conference standings, just ahead of Ball State (4-2 MAC), Buffalo (4-2 MAC) and Western Michigan (4-2).
The Opponents
The UIC Flames (6-9, 0-5 MAC) have dropped its last seven matches. The Huskies aims to defend their home court and sweep the Flames on the season, winning the matchup earlier this month by score of 5-2.
Judson (6-11) has won two of its last three matches coming into the weekend and have a 3-10 road record on the season.
