Conner McCall Paces Huskies With Top-25 Finish At Hoosier Collegiate

NIU Finishes 14th In Last Tuneup Before MAC Championship

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Sophomore Conner McCall (Vandalia, Ill./Vandalia) of the Northern Illinois University men's golf team finished in the top 25 of this weekend's Hoosier Collegiate, which wrapped up Sunday at The Pfau Course. 
 
McCall was tied for second after Saturday's opening round with an even par 71. He followed that up a four-over 75 in the second round and a 77 in Sunday. McCall posted a 54-hole score of 223 and tied for 22nd place overall. This is the fourth time this season McCall has been NIU's top finisher in a tournament.
 
NIU's best team score came in the second round where the Huskies posted a 19-over par 301. Corentin Guilloux (Longages,France) had the Huskies' low score with a three-over 74. McCall had a 75 with Craig Long (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) posting the first of back-to-back rounds of 76. Redshirt-Freshman Devin Swoyer (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) rounded out the scoring group with a 78, his lowest score of the weekend. 
 
As a team the Huskies finished 14th with a 54-hole score of 70-over par 922, 11 strokes ahead of Ball State. Kansas won the tournament by three strokes over #13 Illinois. 
 
NIU now prepares for the 2026 Mid-American Conference Championship, to be held at The Course At Holliday Farms in Zionsville, Ind. May 3-5.
