LOUISVILLE—
Danielle Stewart of the Northern Illinois University Huskies softball team has garnered National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors as announced this afternoon (May 14).
The Frankfort, Illinois native earned Second Team All-Region Midwest honors, marking her fourth consecutive All-Region recognition. She becomes the third Huskie in program history to earn All-Region honors four years in a row, joining Hall of Famer Jill Justin (1986-89) and Lisa Gilfoy (1988-91).
Earlier this month, Stewart became the second Huskie to earn All-MAC First Team honors all four years of her career.
This season, Stewart led the team with a batting average of .451 and 60 hits. She recorded 34 runs, 15 doubles, and seven home runs while recording 44 RBIs. Stewart was one of three Huskies to start all 43 games this season while having a .752 slugging percentage and .522 on-base percentage.
Previously, Stewart had earned Third Team All-Region honors in 2023-24 (Great Lakes Region) and 2025 (Midwest Region).
