DEKALB, Ill. – Registration is open now for Huskie Basketball Camps as new NIU men's basketball head coach Matt Majkrzak will host both kids camp and elite camp this summer at the Convocation Center. 

The Huskies will hold a pair of elite camp dates, with the first taking place on Wednesday, June 17, and the second occurring on Wednesday, July 22. Participants in elite camp will experience what it is like to take part in a college basketball practice as the camp will follow a very similar structure to a Huskie basketball practice, concluding with 5-of-5 games for campers to showcase their skills. Elite camp is open to those heading into ninth through 12th grades and will run from 6-9 p.m. The cost for elite camp is just $75. 

NIU's three-day kids camp will take place Monday, July 27 through Wednesday, July 29. Campers will be coached in stations including shooting, passing, ball handling, finishing and more by the NIU men's basketball staff and players. In addition, the camp will be filled with fun games, including dribble knockout and lightning. Campers will get to interact with Huskie players and learn the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and energetic environment. The kids camp, open to rising third through eighth graders, will run from 9 a.m. to 12 noon each day and costs just $120, which includes a camp t-shirt.
