Men's Golf | August 3

NORMAN, Okla. – The Northern Illinois University men's golf team had five student-athletes named 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Monday.
 
The Huskies are one of 26 NCAA Division I programs to have at least five honorees from this past season. An individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically to be eligible for nomination. Additionally they must have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a scoring average under 76.0 and carry a minimum grade point average of 3.2.
 
Junior Craig Long (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) and sophomores Conner McCall (Vandalia, Ill./Vandalia), Jack Mulligan (Burr Ridge, Ill./Hinsdale Central), Beau Petersen (Gretna, Neb./Gretna) and Patrick Raupp (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) are the five Huskies selected at All-America Scholars. All five were selected to the Academic All-MAC Team as the Huskies led the league with six selections.
 
This is the fourth postseason honor for Long. He was an All-MAC Second Team selection after posting a scoring average of 73.182. Long won the individual title at last season's Badger Invitational with a 54-hole score of 11-under par 205. He carded a final round 65 to lock up the win, one stroke shy of tying NIU's 18-hole scoring record. Long was also selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team.  This is his second All-America Scholar selection in his career.
 
McCall and Raupp were also named to the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team this summer. Raupp was NIU's top finisher at the MAC Championship, tying for fifth place. McCall led the Huskies with a scoring average of 73.091. He was named MAC Golfer of the Week on Feb. 27 after tying for sixth place at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational with a seven-under par 209.
