FUTURE HUSKIE NAMED DAILY CHRONICLE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Incoming NIU wrestler Austin Culton was named the 2013 DeKalb Daily Chronicle Male Athlete of the Year today. Culton attended Sycamore High School and was a key member of both the football and wrestling teams with the Spartans. Culton won the Class 2A individual wrestling state championship at 152 pounds as a junior, finishing with a 34-4 record, and finished runner-up this past year, winning his first 43 matches before falling in the state title match.
