Questions and Answers for NIU Season Ticket Members and Donors on the 2020 Huskie Chi-Town Showdown

  1. QUESTION: Is the 2020 Chi-Town Showdown game at SeatGeek Stadium included in the NIU Football Season Ticket Plan?
    ANSWER: Yes and no. NIU Football season ticket members will have the ability to choose their season ticket experience.  Season ticket renewals will include the six (6) game package that include seats for the 2020 Huskie Chi-Town Showdown based on the number of season tickets in their account OR season ticket members can opt-out and select the five (5) game package that only include the five (5) games held at Huskie Stadium.

    ANSWER: Seat locations will be determined based on your 2020 NIU Football season ticket location and the Huskie Athletic Fund Benefit Allocation Process. For example…
IF YOU HAVE PREMIUM SEATS AT HUSKIE STADIUM 
 
SKY BOX & SKY CLUB 
All Sky Box & Sky Club season ticket members will receive seats in the exclusive Heineken Second Star Club premium seating area, based upon the number of season tickets in their account. The Heineken Second Star Club features a food buffet and premium cash bar. Sky Box & Sky Club Season Ticket members will have the first opportunity to purchase additional seats in the Heineken Second Star Club for $150, based upon availability and the Huskie Athletic Fund Benefit Allocation Process. 
 
CHAIRBACKS 
All Chairback season ticket members will receive seats in the 100 Level seating area, based upon the number of season tickets in their account. The 100 Level seats offer some of the best sight lines for this unique event. Chairback season ticket members will have the first opportunity to purchase additional seats in the 100 Level for $25 per ticket, based upon availability and the Huskie Athletic Fund Benefit Allocation Process. These tickets MUST be ordered by April 11, 2020. If purchased after April 11, 2020 the price will increase to $35. Additional Huskie Chi-Town Showdown tickets are not guaranteed to be next to your existing season tickets.  

BENCHBACKS
All Benchback season ticket members will also receive seats in the 100 Level seating area, based upon the number of season tickets in their account. The 100 Level will offer great seats between the 20 yard lines, similar to Benchback seating at Huskie Stadium. Benchback season ticket members will have the first opportunity to purchase additional seats in the same 100 Level sections for $25 per ticket, based upon availability and the Huskie Athletic Fund Benefit Allocation Process. These tickets MUST be ordered by April 11, 2020. If purchased after April 11, 2020 the price will increase to $35. Additional Huskie Chi-Town Showdown tickets are not guaranteed to be next to your existing season tickets.  
 
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PREMIUM SEATS AT HUSKIE STADIUM
 
All non-premium season ticket members will receive seats based on the number of season tickets in their account. Non-premium seats will be allocated based on availability and the Huskie Athletic Fund Benefit Allocation Process.
  1. QUESTION: What are the single game ticket prices for this game?
    ANSWER: The 2020 Chi-Town Showdown tickets for non NIU season ticket members are $35 each. We anticipate high demand for this game and 2020 NIU Football season ticket members will have first priority providing that all deadlines are met. See your season ticket renewal information 
  1. QUESTION: As a season ticket member, how do I purchase additional tickets?
    ANSWER:  Season ticket members can request additional tickets at the time their football renewals are due (April 11, 2020). Season ticket renewal forms will be mailed in February or are available to view now at NIUHuskies.com/myhuskies. They may request additional tickets after the deadline, but locations may vary based on availability.  Once the request is made, seats will be allocated based upon the Huskie Athletic Fund Benefit Allocation Process. Premium Seat holders will have the first opportunity to request additional seats in their specific premium section.
  1. QUESTION: Will game tickets for the 2020 Huskie Chi-Town Showdown be mailed with my season tickets?
    ANSWER: To ensure that all additional seat requests are allocated appropriately, your 2020 Huskie Chi-Town Showdown game tickets will NOT be mailed with your season ticket packet. Seat locations for the 2020 Chi-Town Showdown game will be allocated in September and mailed in October along with any additional seat requests you have made.
  1. QUESTION: How do I guarantee I get the best seats available for this game?
    ANSWER: Purchase a season ticket and join the Huskie Athletic Fund. Season ticket member seats will be allocated first based on donor level and then on priority points within that level. All single game ticket requests will be allocated after all season ticket members and donors.
  1. QUESTION: Will there be private suites available for this game?
    ANSWER: Yes, the 16-person suites at SeatGeek Stadium are available for purchase for $2,000, or 12-person Stage Suites are available for $1,500. Food and beverage is not included in the cost and must be handled separately. Please call (815) 753-3801 to speak with Cliff Bottigliero about purchasing a private suite.
  1. QUESTION: If I purchase a Coaches Club pass for the 2020 NIU Football season, does it include the 2020 Chi-Town Showdown game?
    ANSWER: No. Coaches Club season passes will only include the games at Huskie Stadium as there is not a comparable area at SeatGeek Stadium.  For patrons who are seeking tickets in a covered space, the Heineken Second Star Club may be available for $150 per ticket. If tickets are available they be allocated according to the Huskie Athletic Fund Benefit Allocation and Priority Point Process. 
  1. QUESTION: If I have a season parking pass(es) for Huskie Stadium, will I receive the same number of passes at SeatGeek Stadium?
    ANSWER: Yes, you will receive the same number of parking passes at SeatGeek Stadium as you have in your account at Huskie Stadium. Brigham Society, VIP Lot and Suite ticket holders will receive a pass for SeatGeek Stadium's VIP Lot. All other Huskie Stadium parking pass holders (including all RVs) will receive a parking pass(es) for the East Lot.
  1. QUESTION: Will there be a bus(es) available for fans in DeKalb County?
    ANSWER: Yes. GoGround will be the official bus provider for the 2020 Huskie Chi-Town Showdown. The NIU Alumni Association will be partnering with GoGround to offer Huskie fans a great option for transportation to and from the game. Specific packages are being determined and more detailed information will be available in the coming months. For information, please contact the NIU Alumni Association at (815) 753-ALUM (2586). 
  1. QUESTION: Are student tickets available for the 2020 Chi-Town Showdown?
    ANSWER: Yes. Current (as of Fall 2020) NIU students will have access to download their free ticket to the 2020 Chi-Town Showdown at NIUStudentTix.com on computer or mobile device, just as they do for every Huskie home game at Huskie Stadium.
  1. QUESTION: Are student guest tickets available for the Huskie Chi-Town Showdown?
    ANSWER: Yes. Using the NIUStudentTix.com site, current NIU students will have the availability to order student guest tickets for $25 each. Additional information on student guest tickets, including number allowed per student and deadline to order, will be available at the start of the Fall 2020 semester.
