DeKalb, IL -- In order to ease travel plans for the visiting teams during the upcoming Easter weekend, Northern Illinois University tennis coach Pontus Hiort announced revised schedules for both the Huskie men's and women's teams' upcoming Mid-American Conference matches.
The NIU women's tennis team's Friday (April 14) match with the University of Akron has been moved from 1 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the West Campus Courts. At 1 p.m. on Friday, the Huskie men welcome the University at Buffalo for a MAC meeting that was originally listed for April 16.
On Saturday (April 15), Northern Illinois' men have a 9:30 a.m. contest with the University of Toledo instead of the originally listed start time of 1 p.m. The NIU women take on the University at Buffalo at 1 p.m.
On Friday morning, the women's crew will be hoping to end a nine-game skid and improve on a 4-14 overall mark and an 0-4 league ledger. Akron and Buffalo mark the final two home matches for the ladies.
NIU's men begin a five-match homestand that will close out the regular-season schedule as the Huskies hope to improve on their 4-10 overall mark and a 1-1 MAC standard.
