***With 1,181 yards on the season, Wolfe has rushed for more yards in five games than any of the player in Division I-A history.
***By surpassing the 1,000 yard mark in just the fifth game of the season, Garrett Wolfe tied an NCAA record set nine times previously by eight different players. Those players were: Ed Marinaro (Cornell, 1971), Ricky Bell (USC, 1976), Marcus Allen (USC, 1981), Ernest Anderson (Oklahoma State, 1982), Barry Sanders (Oklahoma State, 1988), Troy Davis (Iowa State, 1995 and 1996), Byron Hanspard (Texas Tech, 1996) and Ricky Williams (Texas, 1998).
***Garrett Wolfe broke his own school record for single-game rushing yards with 353. He previously set the mark on Nov. 20, 2004 with 325 yards against Eastern Michigan. Wolfe's total tonight was the fifth-highest single-game performance in MAC history.
***Garrett Wolfe's 4,417 career rushing yards is just 525 yards from passing Michael Turner for the NIU career record and places him fourth on the all-time MAC list.
***With a 51-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and a 48-yard scoring run in the third period, NIU's Garrett Wolfe broke the Huskies' career record for touchdowns held by Michael Turner (2000-2003). Wolfe now has 50 career TDs and 45 career rushing scores. Wolfe also moved up to third on the Mid-American Conference career TDs list, and is tied for fourth on the MAC list for career rushing TDs.
***Wolfe now ranks second on NIU's career scoring list with 300 points, behind only Steve Azar (2000-03) who had 370.
***Wolfe is second all-time on the NIU all-purpose career chart with 4,915, behind only Michael Turner's 6,038, ranking him ninth in MAC history.
***With 353 yards on 31 carries and three scores Saturday, Wolfe:
Recorded his 10th straight 100-yard rushing game;
Rushed for more than 170 yards for the eighth straight game;
Passed the 200-yard rushing mark for the eight time in his career;
Rushed for 300 or more yards for the second time in his career.
Averaged 11.4 yards per carry.
Upped his season per game rushing average to 236 yards per game.
***NIU kicker Chris Nendick extended his school-record consecutive games scoring streak to 29 when he hit his 107th straight extra point in the first quarter. However, Nendick's PAT streak ended at 108, second longest in MAC history as he missed the point after following the Huskies' third TD.
***Brothers Britt and Brandon Davis each established career highs on Saturday. Britt Davis had 5 catches for 115 yards to garner his first 100-yard receiving game and set a new high for receiving yards in a game while Brandon Davis set his career marks for catches (4) and yards (61). Britt Davis' 100-yard receiving game is the first 100-yard game by an NIU wide receiver this year and is the highest receiving yardage total for any NIU player. Garrett Wolfe recorded the only other NIU 100-yard receiving day this year.
***Indianapolis native Jason Onyebuagu made his first career start at right guard. The true freshman, who played high school football at Warren Central High, was one of three freshmen in the starting line-up for NIU, joining linebacker Cory Hanson and center Eddie Adamski.
