DEKALB, Ill. -The Northern Illinois University softball team's opening game of the Eighth Annual Magic City Classic hosted by UAB against Samford was postponed due to rain Friday afternoon. The remaining schedule has been modified as well.

The tournament also moved from Spain Park High School to Shea Brothers Softball Complex. Northern Illinois (2-3) is scheduled to play three games Saturday. NIU will face host UAB at 10 a.m., Michigan State at 12:30 p.m. and the Huskies' game with Samford, which was originally scheduled for Friday, will be played at 5:30 p.m. weather and temperature permitting. Northern concludes the tournament with Alabama State at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Fans can follow all the action live via Gametracker at www.niuhuskies.com.
