DEKALB, Ill. - The Northern Illinois men's tennis team will compete this weekend in the River Forrest Collegiate Invitational, hosted by River Forest Tennis Club in River Forest, Ill. The tournament begins Friday and continues through Sunday.

This weekends tournament is the Huskies first taste of competition in 2011 and is one of five competition's this Fall for the NIU men. It is also only one of two fall tournaments that will be in Illinois, as the Huskies will compete at the Northwestern Invite Oct. 21-23.

Northern Illinois returns four players from last year's squad that finished 11-16, including Mid-American Conference's Newcomer of the Year in 2011 Axel Lagerlof.

Many teams from around the area will be competing in this tournament, including Illinois Chicago, SIU-Edwardsville and Western Illinois, along with Belmont in Nashville, Tenn.

Following this weekends action, Northern Illinois will return to action Sept. 23-25 for the Drake Invite in the Des Moines, Iowa. Below is a full list of the Huskies fall tournaments.
