• NIU is making its first trip to Terre Haute since 2007, the Huskies are 3-6 all-time at Indiana State
• In the three games last weekend in the NIU Thanksgiving Classic, Aaric Armstead averaged 18.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, shooting 48.6 percent (17-of-35) from the field, including 45.5 percent (5-of-11) from three and 85 percent (17-of-20) from the free-throw line. 
• Laytwan Porter's 63.6 percent from three-point range ranks second in the Mid-American Conference behind Ohio's Kenny Kaminski who is shooting 66.7 percent.  
• Marin Maric has scored in double figures in all seven games this season, the only Huskie to reach the mark in every game this year. Maric is currently averaging 16.1 points per game, tied for 10th best in the Mid-American Conference. He is shooting 58.3 percent (42-of-72) from the field to rank fifth in the conference.  
• Two free throws from Laytwan Porter with 4.3 seconds remaining helped lift NIU to an 80-78 overtime victory over Indiana State on Friday night (Nov. 11) in the season opener. 
• This year's home-and-home with Indiana State is NIU's first home-and-home with a non-conference opponent since the 2006-07 season when the Huskies played Duquesne in back-to-back games. 
• Against Cal Poly on Nov. 23, Aaric Armstead moved into 10th in NIU history in steals, Armstead currently has 111 career steals.
• Following Wednesday's contest, the Huskies will have an 11 day break for finals.

About Indiana State
• Indiana State comes into Wednesday's contest with a 2-4 overall record, with its four setbacks coming by a total of 10 points. This past weekend at the Advocare Invitational in Orlando, Fla., the Sycamores fell to Iowa State by two, Stanford by three and Quinnipiac by three. 
• Brenton Scott is leading the Sycamores in scoring, averaging 20.2 points per contest; Scott was a Preseason All-Missouri Valley First Team selection. 
• Indiana State was picked to finish sixth in the Missouri Valley again this season in the league's preseason poll of head coaches, SIDs and media.
• Greg Lansing is in his seventh season as head coach at Indiana State. Prior to being named head coach of the Sycamores, Lansing was the associate head coach at Indiana State from 2006-10.

All-time Series with the Sycamores
• NIU leads the all-time series against Indiana State, 13-6, and are meeting for the second time in 19 days. Prior to this season's two meetings the Huskies and Sycamores had not met since 2008. 
• The Sycamores hold a 6-3 advantage all-time in Terre Haute, winning the most recent meeting, 75-65, on Nov. 17, 2007. 
• This year's home-and-home with Indiana State is NIU's first home-and-home with a non-conference opponent since the 2006-07 season when the Huskies played Duquesne in back-to-back games. NIU won at Duquesne, 87-82, in overtime on Nov. 20, 2006 in Pittsburgh, the Huskies then beat the Dukes five days later in DeKalb, 85-74. 

The First Meeting
• Two free throws from Laytwan Porter with 4.3 seconds remaining helped lift NIU to an 80-78 overtime victory over Indiana State on Friday night (Nov. 11) in the season opener. 
• NIU led by seven, 70-63, with less than 40 seconds to play in regulation but a triple from Indiana State's Brenton Scott with less than two seconds left helped the Sycamores force overtime.
• Marin Maric scored a career-high 25 points, including 11-of-14 shooting from the field. 
• Jaylen Key recorded his second career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. 
• Freshmen Eugene German and Justin Thomas each made their collegiate debut in the contest for the Huskies.
