DEKALB, Ill. –The Northern Illinois University softball team will prepare for the 2017 season with eight games in three weekends during the fall semester.

The Huskies' will be competing every weekend from Sept. 25-Oct. 8. NIU will play host to Lindenwood-Belleville and Lewis Sunday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.  NIU has a double weekend Oct. 1-2 as the Huskies travel to South Bend to play Loyola (2 p.m. CT) and host Notre Dame (4 p.m. CT) before playing host to St. Xavier and Heartland Community College.
 
NIU closes out its fall slate when it plays host to Rock Valley College and UW-Parkside at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, Oct. 8. NIU's final weekend of the fall schedule will be designated as Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day presented by Cal's Angels.
