DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University gymnastics team is set to compete in Bowling Green, Ohio on Saturday, in its last regular season meet of the season at 1 p.m. CDT against the Bowling Green State University Falcons.

"It's been a long grueling season," said NIU head coach Sam Morreale. "They've worked super-hard all along the way, so it's really exciting to bring everything to a close and position ourselves for MAC Championships and the postseason. The goal is to end the regular season on a win, which would give us a winning record in the conference."

The Huskies head into the weekend 3-2 in the Mid-American Conference and will to better their record with a win as they head into the postseason. The Falcons are currently 2-3 in the MAC with their two wins against Eastern Michigan (Jan. 19) and Central Michigan (Feb. 25).

Prior to last weekend, the Huskies had scored a 195.025 or higher in five consecutive meets including a win over UIC (Feb. 11). The team has already proved that one bad event does not define them as they hop back on put up high scores week-in and week out.
