DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University women's tennis players Brodie Walker and Lara Slisko were named to the 2019 Women's Tennis Academic All Mid-American Conference Team the league announced Tuesday.

Walker is earning her second consecutive Academic All-MAC accolade, while this is the first such honor for Slisko.

A junior from Bristol, England, Walker boasts a 3.73 cumulative grade point average in international politics. The three-year starter for NIU, Walker posted a 5-9 dual match record competing at either No.1, 2 or 3 singles. She experienced her most success at No. 3 singles where she went 4-1.

Slisko, a sophomore, carries a 3.51 GPA in pre-physical therapy. A native of Essendon, Australia, she finished the season with a 3-13 mark, including a 3-5 record during tournament play in the fall.
