Jordan Hansen recorded NIU's first interception of the season when he pulled down a Kyle VanTrease pass in the second quarter.
***Senior wide receiver
Tyrice Richie posted career highs in receptions and receiving yards with nine catches for 106 yards Wednesday. Richie recorded the second 100-yard receiving day of his career with his previous best game in the 2019 season opener versus Illinois State (102 yards on three catches) and versus Toledo (six catches).
***Buffalo's win gives the Bulls just their second win all-time against the Huskies and the first since 1968, before the teams joined the ranks of "Major College Football" (now the Football Bowl Subdivision). NIU now leads the all-time series with the Bulls 12-2.
***Freshman
Harrison Waylee led NIU in rushing with 13 carries for 66 yards in his Huskie debut.
***Sophomore
Nick Rattin led the Huskies in tackles with a career high 10.
***Eight different Huskies caught passes from three different quarterbacks.
