DEKALB, Ill. – Fifteen wrestling teams will converge on DeKalb as the Northern Illinois University Convocation Center will play host to the 2020 Mid-American Conference Wrestling Championships March 7-8.
Tickets for the event are on sale now with a package to meet every wrestling fan's needs. The two-day pass is $40, while a single day ticket is $25. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $20 each per day. All students from the participating schools will be admitted free of charge with a valid student ID. Parking for the event will be $5 each day.
There are also a limited number of exciting premium packages available to wrestling fans. For $175 fans will have access to the Nelson Club for the duration of the tournament. The price includes parking, a food buffet, water, soda, wine, beer and a cash bar. Fans interested in purchasing one of the 75 Nelson Club passes or one of the two suites available should call 815-753-7225.
The Victor E. Pub, a premium area open to all ticket holders, will also be set up on the east end of the Convocation Center. Fans can hang out at the high-top tables and watch all the action while enjoying $2 drink specials, a full-service bar and food offerings.
The second largest wrestling conference in the country, the MAC features NIU, Buffalo, Bloomsburg, Central Michigan, Clarion, Cleveland State, Edinboro, George Mason, Kent State, Lock Haven, Missouri, Old Dominion, Ohio, Rider and SIUE.
The championships begin Saturday, March 7 at 10 a.m., while Sunday, March 8 will start at 12 p.m.
The Huskies return to the mat Friday, Feb. 14 for a league showdown with Buffalo. The match begins at 7 p.m. CT and will be shown on ESPN+.
