Men's Golf | October 5
DeKALB, IL – Junior
Felix Krammer (Waakirchen, Germany/Arkansas State) of the Northern Illinois University men's golf team was named the Mid-American Conference Co-Golfer of the Week on Thursday for his top-five finish at this week's Badger Invitational.
Krammer posted two season-best rounds of three-under par 69 to finish in a tie for fourth with a 54-hole score of five-under par 211. After posting a 73 in round two on Monday, Krammer bounced back with his second round of 69. He chipped in for eagle on his final hole of the tournament to move into that tie for fourth. Krammer shares this week's MAC Co-Golfer of the Week with Ball State's Kash Bellar, who also tied for fourth at the Badger Invitational.
This is the second time this fall an NIU men's golfer has been named MAC Golfer of the Week.
Ben Sluzas (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) earned the honor on Sept. 21 after his eighth-place finish at the VCU Shootout.
The Huskies are next in action Oct. 9-10 for the Purdue Fall Invitational at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course.
