CLEVELAND – Seven members of the Northern Illinois University women's track and field team earned All-Mid-American Conference honors as a result of their performances at this past weekend's MAC Outdoor Championships.
Diamond Riley (St. Louis, Mo.) claimed All-MAC First Team recognition by winning the triple jump.
Riley posted a personal best mark of 12.94 meters (42-05.50) to become the second Huskie to win the MAC triple jump title, joining Jehvania Whyte who claimed the title twice (2018, '19).
Six Huskies picked up All-MAC Second Team honors, including four in individual events.
Kimone Hines (Hanover, Jamaica) took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.68 seconds,
Skylynn Blue (Indianapolis, Ind.) claimed second in the 200 meters in 23.76,
Talayssia Sanders (Waco, Texas) recorded a time of 54.65 seconds to finish runner-up in the 400 meters and
Scout Regular (St. Louis, Mo.) earned silver in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.51 seconds.
Hines, Blue and Regular were also joined by
Suerethia Henderson (Lima, Ohio) in the 4x100-meter relay as the Huskie quartet ran a school record time of 45.10 seconds to earn second place.
Selections for the NCAA Preliminary Round will be announced on Thursday, May 18. Huskies that earn selection will compete at the NCAA West Preliminary in Sacramento, Calif., May 24-27.
