SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Northern Illinois University juniors 
Scout Regular (St. Louis, Mo./Incarnate Word Academy) and 
Skylynn Blue (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central HS) will be first out of the blocks for the Huskies as action gets underway Thursday in the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Sacramento, California. 
Regular will compete in the 100 hurdles with heats beginning at 8 p.m. (CT) Thursday, while Blue will compete in opening rounds of the 100-meter dash at 9 p.m. Thursday night. NIU triple jumper 
Diamond Riley (St. Louis, Mo./Ritenour HS) will wait until Saturday night to begin her NCAA competition. 
Regular ran a personal-best time of 13.51 in the 100 hurdles at the MAC Outdoor Championships as she earned a second-place finish. Regular also won the 100-meter hurdles at the Huskie Classic (May 6) and posted top-five finishes at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 15) and Yellow Jacket Invitational (March 17).
 
Blue posted a school record time of 11.41 seconds to win the 100-meter dash at the Huskie Classic on May 6. The Indianapolis, Ind., native finishes fifth at the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships in the 100, running a time of 11.88 seconds in the final.
 
Riley recorded her season-best mark of 12.94 meters (42-05.50) while winning the triple jump at the MAC Outdoor Championships.  The St. Louis, Mo., native also won the triple jump at the Drake Relays (April 29) while recording a second-place finish at the Huskie Classic (May 6) and third at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 15).
